ABout me
My name is Mathew Goles, and I have dedicated my life to cricket and athlete development. Born in 1996, I was educated at Wynberg Boys High School before completing an Applied Psychology Honours degree through UNISA, a Sports Psychology certificate through TriFocus Academy and a Sports Coaching degree through ETA.
My cricketing journey includes representing Western Province U19 in 2014 and playing for the Western Province Academy from 2016 to 2019, with First-Class experience for Western Province in the 2017/18 season. I have played 185 matches for Cape Town Cricket Club, scoring 4,688 runs.
Internationally, I have completed three overseas stints—playing for Burridge Cricket Club in the Southern Premier Hampshire League, where I scored 1,914 runs in 44 innings, and for Drumpellier Cricket Club in Scotland in 2016, where I accumulated over 1,200 runs in the season.
Since 2021, I have been working as an online mindset coach for SIMPLE Batting, helping cricketers sharpen their mental game. With a strong background in both performance psychology and high-level competition, my mission is to help athletes unlock their full potential through a blend of mental conditioning, technical refinement, and tailored training strategies.
